Competition Results
There were 3 categories in the competition, Small Bakes, Family Bakes and Celebration Cakes, with separate age groups for children and adults. For Celebration Cakes, the judges had set a theme which was the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (from Alice In Wonderland).

Best In Show Winner Anna, Hopes To Turn Hobby Into A Business
Anna sent us the following message of thanks and shared with us her hopes to one day turn her passionate hobby into a business.
It is a great opportunity for cake bakers like myself to show their skills and passion for baking. I am delighted my cake was judged as best in two categories. It was my first attempt for this kind of competition and I wasn’t sure how it would go. My cake was filled with fresh cream, chopped fruit and jelly so it did stand out from all others based on buttercream filling which luckily turned well for me.
I am looking forward to next year’s competition where I can present more of my cake ideas and there are lots of them! I have shared my passion with friends and family until now but would like to turn my hobby into a business one day.
This type of events helps to win cake lovers hearts and helps to raise money for charity at this same time – a great way to combine both needs.
For those interested you can look at my fun page on Facebook (Anna’s Sugarcraft) where I share my achievements.!
