About Meejana
Meejana is an award winning Lebanese Restaurant, Bar, Takeaway and Caterer in Weybridge Surrey, Windsor Berkshire and Kensington London.
The Weybridge restaurant & bar is open for lunch and dinner 6 days a week. We are closed on Mondays, except for private functions and are open all day Sunday, from mid-day. For opening times and reservations, please see the Contacts section below.
The restaurant has three areas: a rear, vaulted dining room ideal for a quiet dinner (which can also be booked for groups), a welcoming front bar and dining area, plus an additional large restaurant area having extended into the neighboring building in 2018. There is also a terrace in the front which is ideal on a warm day, or to smoke a shisha. The food is authentically Lebanese with the widest selection of mezze dishes around as well as traditional grills and a bounty of home-style dishes unique to Meejana.
Our philosophy for our food is simple: use the best ingredients and prepare each dish fresh to order with an unparalleled attention to detail. This leads to an unprecedented dining experience for the guest and has underpinned our success since we opened in 2007. Couple this with an extensive wine list, including many wines from Lebanon, Syria and the New and Old World and you have a Lebanese restaurant unlike the others.
We have an extensive menu including many seafood dishes from the coast, alongside dishes from the interior (often lamb or chicken). Our selection of mezze is extensive and includes some delicacies such as sweetbreads and frogs legs.
Our main dishes include many family recipes from the owner’s Lebanese family which are unique to us. We also offer a wide selection of grills and other traditional dishes so there is something for everybody.
Our desserts are home-made and include Lebanese classics such as Baklava and Maamoul as well as a small selection of crêpes, Om Ali, Halva and artisan ice creams and sorbets. We offer a celebration cake service and can provide special cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, etc – anything from a bespoke item through to a candle in a chocolate fondant.

Whether you enjoy long leisurely dining or if you are short of time, we can cater for you. We offer light lunches on our ‘Menu Rapide’ as well as a Takeaway Service.

My favourite is the chicken livers with pomegranate.
The staff are delightful, making wonderful fruit juices for me as I don’t drink alcohol.

“By coincidence driving through Weybridge looking for a place to eat I noticed this restaurant. So we decided to take lunch at Meejana and to my surprise coming through the front door was wow.. what an amazing Boutique Lebanese restaurant.
The colours the decor and the artefacts was an amazing mixture of fusion.
This was before we even ordered. We chose the mix lamb and chicken sharwama and beef burger for mains. The dish’s were cooked perfectly and tasty. Followed by some traditional bakalwa.

“I am not exactly a serial reviewer (no 5 in as many years!) so I thought I should start this one by saying why. When I decided to become a trip advisor reviewer I also decided to only post a review when there was something exceptional about the place I was reviewing. Exceptionally good, or exceptionally bad, that is. So far, I have been lucky enough never been anywhere that bad, so this is again a good review.
We have visited Meejana several times over the past two years, after the first time always with our grown up children and their partners. We have always had a great time. Everything about the place is relaxed, except for the service, which is unfailingly and intrusively excellent. Because we know only a little more about Lebanese cuisine than we do about the dark side of the moon, we quickly adopted the habit of ordering the celebration banquet, a sort of taster menu that adapts to what is good that day, and have never been let down.
I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, with only one note of warning. We are not the only ones who keep coming back, so book early.”

Authentic Lebanese Dining at Meejana

Similar to the tapas of Spain, mezeluri of Romania, and antipasto of Italy, the Lebanese Mezze is an array of small dishes served before the guests creating an array of colours, flavors, textures and aromas.
This style of serving food is typical for dining out and ideal for groups.
Mezze may be as simple as pickled or raw vegetables, hummus, baba ghanouj and bread, or it may become the entire meal consisting of grilled or marinated seafood, skewered meats, a variety of cooked foods and raw salads. Most of the dishes are not spicy and the selection can be tailored for each table depending on your specific requirements.
Desserts such as baklava and coffee are usually served after the meal, though there are many more options including our popular chocolate fondant, rum baba, or a selection of ice creams.
By contrast, the Lebanese family cuisine also offers a range of dishes such as stews or yakhnehs, which can be cooked in many forms depending on the ingredients used and are usually served with meat and rice with vermicelli. Meejana offers a number of these dishes which would typically be eaten as a main course, but can be shared as part of your mezze experience also.
We have created a handful of suggested menus for 2-4 people and will be happy to guide you through the options or even help you put together a menu for the evening if you’re uncertain where to start.
If you’re happy to choose your own dishes, we recommend 2-3 mezze per person as a complete meal.
