Help Shape The New Natural Play Space At Elmbridge Sports Hub!
Children and their parents and carers are invited to come along to the launch of the newly developed natural play area at the Elmbridge Sports Hub
It’s adjacent to the Xcel Leisure Complex in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG.
The event is on Friday 31 May 2019 from 11am to 12pm, with a ribbon cutting from the Mayor of Elmbridge in the presence of local councillors.
This space is a valuable addition to the Xcel Sports Hub, with its state-of- the-art facilities and will be a fun and safe environment for children to play and be active.
As part of the launch event, we will be encouraging children to make the play area their very own and leave their mark by sowing wildflower seeds to create a “wild meadow” effect around the play area.
Councillor Janet Turner, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said, “The new play area at the Xcel Sports Hub is looking great already, but we want children to enhance it by adding small pockets of wild flowers to encourage wildlife and create an attractive environment for children and families to enjoy”.
Come along and give us a hand on the day, get stuck in and help us to make this play space an area you want to come back to again and again.
