About Paws and Purrs Pet Care

I am the founder of Paws and Purrs Pet Care Limited and very passionate about animals so it was a natural progression for me to set up this business.

I have a huge love and understanding of animals and have worked with welfare teams in boarding kennels and rescue shelters looking after deaf dogs, rescues and dogs who suffer from anxiety.

I have completed the training courses below and continue to build on my knowledge and skills, attending seminars focused on canine psychology and behaviour modification.

Sessions are wherever you need the training – at home, in your garden or out on dog walks. We believe behaviours such as recall, redirection and loose lead walking are essential for your dog.

Socialisation has a huge influence on your puppy and if they haven’t been socialised properly, can grow up to be fearful and experience behavioural problems. Early training pays huge dividends and give your puppy the opportunity to build their confidence and social skills. Experiencing numerous situations and exposure to people, places and other animals during their socialisation period is critical.

Our home visits give you five sessions of personalised support with your new puppy and allow us to help you get things on track from the start. We introduce puppies to social skills and basic foundation training using positive training methods.

Our personalised sessions are filled with fun exercises and mental stimulation. We work on skills such as Recall, Sit, Stay, Lie Down and Loose Lead walking. We will help guide you through common puppy problems such as play biting, noise sensitivities and vet handling.

Puppies should be under the age of 16 weeks at the start of the sessions. All five visits must take place within a three month period.
